Schwaben/Hansa Soccer Tryouts - U7 through High School

Schwaben youth travel soccer tryouts begin May 21 for boys and girls U7 through U18. Tryouts are at 301 North Weiland Road, Buffalo Grove. U7-11 Boys: May 21 and 22, 6:30 to 8 p.m.; U12-14 Boys: May 23 and 24, 6:30 to 8 p.m.; U15-18 Boys: May 29 and 31, 7:30 to 9 p.m.; U7-14 Girls: May 29 and 31, 6 to 7:30 p.m.; U15-18 Girls: May 29 and 31, 7:30 to 9 p.m. More information is on the Schwaben tryout webpages.



VH Park District Pointers for March 2012 - Loop the Lakes, Summer Camp, More

The Vernon Hills Park District has lots of activities coming up for March and April, including the Hoppin’ Holiday Hunt on March 31; Spring Break Chess, Gymnastic and Guitar Camps; Loop the Lakes 5K Run/Walk on April 28; the free Family Kite Fly in Century Park on April 28; Brave Way Self-Defense; Cheer/Poms; Lacrosse; Volleyball and much more. Adler Summer Camp 2012

Camp Adler is the summer camp experience provided by the David Adler Music and Arts Center in Libertyville. The District 128 Community Education Department announces the availability of the Winter/Spring/Summer Course Catalog. NEW REQUIREMENT:  Tetanus/Diptheria/Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) Vaccination for 6th Graders

Beginning with enrollment for fall 2012, any child entering 6th grade must now show proof of receiving one dose of Tdap (defined as tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis) vaccine regardless of the interval since the last DTaP, DT or Td dose. It is also recommended that students entering grades 7 and 8 who have not already received Tdap receive one Tdap dose regardless of the interval since the last DTaP, DT or Td dose. As further reminder, children entering 6th grade need to have a physical (Illinois Child Health Exam form) and a dental exam (Illinois Dental Exam form) and parents must also provide Proof of Residency

Clinical Connections’ North Shore Teen Center

The North Shore Teen Center (also known as The Apartment) works to develop independence in teens with special needs by providing them with a safe, supervised and social environment that promotes skills for a balanced and healthy life-style. Youth in grades 5-12 and their parents are welcome to drop by and check out the various programs, including teen clubs, daily living activities, academic times, sports sessions and more.
