      <description>The Vernon Hills High School Cheerleaders invite kids in PreK through 8th grade to their always&#45;popular Winter Clinic on Sturday, February 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.&amp;nbsp; New this year: Middle school participants will take part in their own separate clinic, which offers an excellent opportunity to get ready for high school tryouts. Cost is $25 if you pre&#45;register by February 1; $30 for walk&#45;ins. Includes four hours of instruction, a VHHS water bottle, lunch (pizza and fruit), and participation award.       <description>Vernon Hills High School’s theatre department is pleased to present their winter play, Sideways Stories From Wayside School. This family&#45;friendly show is based on the popular Wayside School novels by Louis Sachar, which share the shenanigans of the students and teachers who inhabit the 30th story of the school. Strange encounters and skewed adventures are plentiful in this show that is sure to amuse audiences of all ages. Performances are February 9,10, 11 at 7:30 PM in the VHHS Studio Theatre. The running time for the show is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes (intermission included). Call 847&#45;932&#45;2283 for more details or to reserve tickets.
