Residents of Hawthorn School District are encouraged to attend a Finance Forum on Thursday, February 10 beginning at 7 pm. at Hawthorn Middle South.
The forum will outline the work of the Financial Advisory Task Force and those volunteers’ ideas for closing the anticipated $1.5 to $2 million gap in next year’s budget. Hawthorn Middle South is located at 600 N. Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills across from the Park DIstrict Sullivan Center.
Residents are also welcome to listen in on the Task Force’s meetings. The group will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. on January 31 and February 16 at the Hawthorn District Office, 841 West End Court, Vernon Hills. The Task Force’s recommendation report is expected to be presented to the Board of Education at the February 28 meeting. More information is available at http://www.hawthorn73.org/finance.
