Hawthorn District 73 and all of our schools have again been awarded the Bright Red Apple Award by SchoolSearch.
SchoolSearch bases the award on five family-favored categories: academic performance, pupil/teacher ratio, expenditure per pupil, educational level of teachers, and average teacher salary. Hawthorn has earned this award for the past several years. This year, Hawthorn was one of only 73 Illinois school districts (of which there are 868 total) to receive the award.
