Superintendent Search On Schedule

The Hawthorn superintendent search process remains on schedule. The board is completing the confidential interview process during the month of December, with an announcement of the final candidate and offering of contract expected in January. The new superintendent would take office in July upon the retirement of Dr. Sue Zook. More information is available on the October 25, 2011 web article as well as the September 2, 2011 web article.


UPDATE 1/10/12:  The Hawthorn Board of Education is expected to announce the new superintendent during the January 23, 2012 board meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at Hawthorn District Office, 841 West End Court, Vernon Hills.
