With the help of facilitator Susan Sparks, the group discussed and documented educational trends, community history, probable and desirable futures, and a general vision for Hawthorn and the wider community as we move toward 2015. Before the close of the Future Search Conference, a smaller team was formed to refine the vision statement, and then communicate back to the larger group. The Vision Team met on March 10 and developed the following further-refined Vision Statement: Learning for All, Working Together and Doing Whatever It Takes. Note: Fiscal Stewardship is viewed as an integral part of the entire vision.
