The Key to 73 Hawthorn Education Foundation was established in 2017 to raise private sector funds to support the goals of the District’s Strategic Plan. The Foundation gives the District’s schools the ability to offer students programs and opportunities beyond those provided through regular funding. Teachers benefit by being able to enhance teaching and learning opportunities in their classrooms. The Foundation is also a powerful way for community members and interested companies to identify and fund learning experiences above and beyond those financed through tax dollars.
The Foundation will fund innovative programs that enrich the existing educational experience at Hawthorn School District 73 by engaging corporate, private and community partners.
Advocate, promote, and fund innovative educational opportunities for the students of Hawthorn School District 73.
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of Key to 73 Hawthorn Education Foundation is to solicit, manage and distribute supplemental funds for educational purposes in program areas that may not be funded by the District. Donations are received from individuals, corporations and other foundations to fund educational programs and projects that are in alignment with the school district’s strategic plan and to create an endowment fund.
