Entertainment Books Sent Home
Entertainment Books went home with the students on Friday, September 19th, did you get yours? Each book is $20 and the PTO earns up to 50% on all sales. If you wish to keep the book, please send your payment back to school with your child (Checks made payable to Hawthorn PTO). If you choose not to keep the book, please have your child return it to school as soon as possible. If you did not receive a book please check with your student and then contact Jeanne Dimick at 847-949-5415 or momdimick@yahoo.com. Anyone who purchases an Entertainment Book this year is included in a drawing for a $25 gift card from Blockbuster, Diary Queen or I-Tunes. Just return your payment in the original envelope that the Entertainment book was sent in and you will be entered into the raffle – there are no forms to fill out! Multiple books purchased mean multiple entries in the raffle (the entries will be credited to the student on the envelope). The raffle will start on September 19th and end on October 17th. There will be one winner per school and the card will be sent home with the winning students. This raffle is sponsored by the Entertainment Book Company. This year's Family Night for the Hawthorn PTO with the Chicago Wolves is on October 26th at 3:00 pm. Watch the Wolves take on the Rockford Ice Hogs at the Allstate Arena. We receive a portion of all tickets sold through the PTO. All tickets sold through the PTO will be seated in the same section. Order forms will be coming home in a couple of weeks, or you can download the order form now!
"Box Tops for Education" Coupons Really Add Up!
Welcome back to school. This is a great time to be watching for and collecting "Box Tops for Education" coupons. Sam's Club is running some bonus Box Tops and many of the Box Tops products are running double coupons in conjunction with the Back to School program. General Mills Cereals, Kleenex, and Ziploc are just a few examples of the many products where you will find "Box Tops for Education" coupons. Please take the time to clip these coupons off the boxes and send them to school with your child. It would be a special favor to us if you could trim them down to size before you send them to school, as we are required to send them in for redemption this way. However, if you simply don't have the time, please send them in anyway and we'll take care of the trimming. This has been such a great fundraiser for our schools-- last year we earned over $3,600! If you have a Target® Visa or are interested in one, be sure to enroll in the "Take Charge of Education" program so the Hawthorn PTO will receive a cash donation equal to 1% of purchases made at Target and 1/2% of purchases made everywhere else. More»
