Spirit Wear Sale

If you are looking for comfortable clothes that show your school spirit, the PTO Spirit Wear sale is the place to go. We have a few new items and a new logo this year. We have a new hooded sweatshirt, a long sleeve tie dye t-shirt, pink and grey flannel pants (along with the royal and gold flannel pants) and a white with pink letters football jersey. Look for a display table to be set up at back to school night. The sale will run from September 3rd through September 24th. Please return order forms and payments to your child's teacher no later then Friday, September 24th. Remember to order a larger size if you are concerned about how sizes run. Attention Hawthorn Middle School Students!

Are you anticipating going to weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, park district dances, or school dances? Tired of sitting on the side watching others having fun dancing the night away, but you don't know how to dance with a partner? Join us for Social Dance Lessons! Lessons begin Wednesday October 6th from 6:50-8:00pm at Middle School South. Register now through October 5th. New "Commitment Renewal" Requirement for Dominick's 4% Back to Schools Program

We have been notified by eScrip, the company that administers the Dominick's cash back to schools program that we are now required to ask all of our supporters on an annual basis if they wish to continue to have their Fresh Values cards registered for the benefit of Hawthorn schools. For the sake of simplicity, if you have previously given us your Dominick's Fresh Values card number to register, and you DO NOT want us to continue to earn cash back on your purchases, please notify us no later than September 30th. You may do so by e-mailing Heidi Gold at hgold1111@sbcglobal.net or calling her at 847-281-9355. Beginning October 1st, we will be confirming any card numbers we currently have in our database unless we have received a request for removal from the program.

Earn 10% Cash Back for Our Schools!

Dominick's annual 10% cash back to schools program continues until September 14th. Just by buying specially marked items (look for the shelf tag with the yellow school bus) you can help us earn cash for our schools. If you have already registered your Dominick's card with us, then we will automatically be credited for your purchases (no need to send in receipts or coupons this year). If you have not yet registered but would like us to receive credit for your back to school items as well as up to 4% of your purchases year-round, then please take a moment to register your card with us now. This can be accomplished 2 easy ways: 1) Call Heidi Gold at 847-281-9355 or 2) E-mail Heidi at hgold1111@sbcglobal.net with your name, address, and Dominick's Fresh Values Card number. All of your information is kept confidential. If you cannot locate your Dominick's Fresh Values Card, you can contact their Customer Service department at 1-877-723-3929 and they can give it to you over the phone. If you do not wish to register your card but would still like the PTO to get credit for your Back to School item purchases, you can send in a register receipt dated September 18th - October 13th which will have a redemption code at the bottom. Please send it to school with your child in an envelope marked "PTO- Dominick's". Download a list of participating products so that you can plan your shopping trip!

Recycle Old Ink Cartridges

The Hawthorn PTO has partnered with Cartridge World USA in Libertyville for a fundraiser where the PTO receives funds for collecting used inkjet, laser, fax and copier cartridges. Please send them to school with your child in a bag marked Cartridges Recycling. Download a coupon for Cartridge World to get a discount on refilling old cartridges.

Notice - PTO Payments

To help the PTO process payments efficiently, please try to put the following on all checks: A phone number near your name, the child's name in the memo area, and if possible, the reason for the payment (i.e. "School Supplies", "Market Day"). This will help us associate payments with the correct fund-raiser and allow us to contact you if something goes amiss.
