Students Read Their Stories

Tackling Writer’s Block

Have you ever had to find ways to get through writer’s block? Sixth through eighth grade students in “The Write Place” class at the Hawthorn Enrichment Institute learned how to tackle that feeling of being stuck by using poetry, flash fiction and story cubes. They also learned techniques to make story plots more interesting. At the end of the session, the students read their stories to their classmates and parents in the Townline library.
