Substitute Teachers

Substitute teachers are essential partners in supporting student learning at Hawthorn District 73. They provide continuity of instruction, maintain a positive classroom environment, and help ensure learning continues seamlessly whenever a teacher is absent.

Requirements:

• Professional Educator License (PEL) or Substitute Teaching License - registered in Lake County, IL
• Ability to work with students in grades Pre-K - 8
• Willingness to be flexible
• Adapt to new situations easily
• Strong classroom management skills

Salary:

• $135 a day
• $249.39 a day for long-term positions
