Content Filtering
Websites that the District uses for educational purposes (such as YouTube) will not be blocked from student devices during after-school hours. If parents wish to block access to certain content or websites while their child is at home, there are filtering capabilities that exist via the router on their home network.
The District also uses Securly as our content filtering system on student devices. While our filtering systems do block the majority of unwanted content, parents should continue to monitor their student's activity at home and take appropriate measures to curb their student's access based on what they deem allowable.
Securly provides access to the Securly Home app, which also provides parents with the ability to set content restrictions while student devices are at home. The parent letter sent out each year for setting up the Securly Home app is included below:
