Who Should Enroll
Children must be five years old on or before September 1 to enter kindergarten. If your child’s birthday is after that date but you believe they are ready for school, visit our Early Entrance page for more information.
How to Enroll
Step 1 — Check Eligibility
Confirm that your address is within district boundaries: Check Eligibility / Find Your School
Step 2 — Pre-Register Online
Complete the Pre-Registration Form to begin the process. This gathers essential details we need before moving forward.
Step 3 — Finalize Registration
After pre-registration is submitted:

You will receive an email with directions to set up an in-person registration appointment with the district registrars. Please be prepared to bring the required documents along with the child's original birth certificate to this appointment.
Appointments will take place at the district office, 841 West End Court, Vernon Hills, between the hours of 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m., Monday-Friday. Please plan at least 45 minutes for your in-person appointment.
