Community Care Connection Mobile Health Unit

Rosalind Franklin University Health System (RFUHS) offers mobile health screening and services through the Community Care Connection, a vehicle that travels throughout Lake County, offering residents a variety of free immunizations and health screenings, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, body mass index (BMI) and waist measurements, foot exams, osteoporosis screenings, and sports physicals for children and teens.

Often, when ongoing health concerns are identified, patients are connected to ongoing care at the free Interprofessional Community Clinic or a primary care provider or podiatric physician at the Health Clinics (which accepts Medicaid and Medicare).
