Highlights of the Jan. 14, 2021 Board of Education Meeting

LeeAnn Taylor, the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance, Ted Haug of Legat and Tom McGrath of LAMP discussed the preliminary bid results for Elementary South. The bids are just under budget. Details will be fine-tuned during several upcoming meetings. The group will return to the Board with final data and potential alternates to be added. 

In his Superintendent’s Report, District Superintendent Dr. Hannigan said that the District has received new Chromebooks. The old devices will be collected and replaced with the new ones  in the near future. The District’s Board of Education meetings are temporarily moving to the Vernon Hills Village Hall, 290 Evergreen Dr. in Vernon Hills. Members of the public may attend on a first come first served basis in keeping with social distancing and building capacity guidelines.

Dr. Hannigan also announced that Ms. Renee Ullberg, Director of Student Services, will retire at the end of the school year. He forwarded his recommendation of Ms. Alicia Corrigan as the incoming Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. The Board welcomed Ms. Corrigan to the District.
