Pick-Up/Drop-Off Events Go Smoothly

Hawthorn provided a series of curbside pick up/drop off dates for parents to pick up what their students left at school and to return school items that students had taken home. Prior to the events, staff at each school cleaned out lockers and classrooms and placed everything in labeled bags. Text books, athletic uniforms, library books, and instruments were among the items that were returned. During the events, staff seamlessly received and returned items while practicing social distancing. Although their masks covered their smiles, staff and parents were clearly happy to see each other again.
