Extended School Year
Extended School Year (ESY) is an extension of the regular school year for students with documented needs on an Individualized Education Plan. A student qualifies for Extended School Year when they demonstrate significant regression in skills and a lengthier recoupment time than their peers over school breaks. In extending the school year for these students, we minimize the regression and recoupment times, providing more equitable access to a free and appropriate public education (FAPE). Student hours for Lincoln are 8:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Elementary and Middle School hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Transportation is provided for all Extended School Year students.
Extended School Year invitations will be sent to families beginning in March 2022. Information regarding transportation, class placements, etc. will go home to families by Tuesday, May 31st, 2022 via the PowerSchool Portal and School Messenger.
